These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and any services provided by DevLand Solutions. By using this website or submitting a quote request, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use this website or engage our services.
02 About DevLand Solutions
DevLand Solutions is a technology studio based in South Africa. This website is informational and exists to describe our services and let potential clients request a quote.
03 Our Services
We provide website development, web application development, business automation, systems and API integrations, and custom software, as described on our Services and Pricing pages. The specific scope, deliverables, timeline and cost of any project will be confirmed with you directly and are not binding until agreed in writing (including via email or WhatsApp).
04 Quotes & Pricing
Prices shown on this website including package pricing and "starting from" figures are estimates only. They're a starting point for discussion, not a final quotation. Submitting the quote request form does not create a contract between you and DevLand Solutions; it simply starts a conversation about your project.
A final quotation, scope and price will be provided after we understand your specific requirements, and a project only begins once both parties agree to that quotation.
05 Payment Terms
Payment terms (such as deposit amounts, milestone payments, and final payment) will be set out in your project quotation or agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, work on deliverables will only begin once any required deposit has been received, and final files or access will only be handed over once payment is complete.
06 Revisions
Each pricing package includes a set number of revisions, as listed on our Pricing page. Additional revisions beyond what's included may incur extra cost, which we'll always confirm with you before doing the work.
07 Client Responsibilities
To deliver your project on time, we rely on you to:
- Provide content, information, access and feedback in a timely manner
- Respond to review requests within a reasonable time
- Ensure you have the right to use any content, images, logos or trademarks you provide to us
Delays in providing the above may affect project timelines.
08 Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, ownership of the final deliverables (such as your website or application code) transfers to you once payment is received in full. DevLand Solutions retains the right to use general knowledge, pre-existing tools, frameworks and components that aren't unique to your project.
We may reference completed projects in our own portfolio or marketing materials, unless you ask us not to.
09 Confidentiality
We treat information you share with us about your business and project as confidential, and we won't disclose it to third parties except where necessary to deliver the project (for example, to a hosting or integration provider you've asked us to use) or where required by law.
10 Limitation of Liability
We do our best to deliver reliable, well-built work, but to the fullest extent permitted by law, DevLand Solutions is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss (such as lost profits or lost data) arising from the use of our services or this website. This does not limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We're also not responsible for outages or issues caused by third-party services we integrate with (such as hosting providers, payment gateways or messaging platforms) that are outside our control.
11 Third-Party Services
This website opens your email application with a prefilled quote request, and links to WhatsApp for direct messaging. Your use of these third-party services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
12 Termination
Either party may end an ongoing project engagement in line with the terms set out in the project's specific agreement or quotation. Work completed and any costs incurred up to the point of termination remain payable.
13 Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
14 Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of this website after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
